At Mindful Care, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers is at the heart of everything we do. Led by a passionate group of individuals, we are committed to continually improving and growing our organization to create the best possible environment for our participants. Our team believes in the power of routine, friendship, and activity, and we work tirelessly to create engaging daily experiences that enrich the lives of our participants. We understand the importance of providing a supportive and stimulating environment, and we are dedicated to ensuring that Mindful Care remains a place where our participants can thrive and find joy in each day.

Our Team
Managing Director
Cynthia Thomas
Cynthia Thomas is a highly experienced healthcare professional, with a Bachelor's degree in Health & Human Performance from MTSU and a Practical Nursing Diploma from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She is a certified Dementia Practitioner and holds a Music Therapy Certificate from MTSU. Cynthia has worked in various healthcare settings, including skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, and has been actively involved with the Alzheimer's Association and the American Arthritis Association.
Assistant Director
Jamie Mitchell-Brechon
Jamie, a native of Murfreesboro, has a passion for helping others find joy and happiness. She studied recreational therapy at Middle Tennessee State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in Leisure, Sports, and Tourism Services with an emphasis on Recreation Administration. Jamie's mission in life is to improve the quality of life for others. She recently earned a certificate in Music Therapy, which she uses with her Mindful Care participants.
